History

The company was incorporated on the 5th of September 2003. At that time, it was known as Tissue Engineering Services Australia Pty Ltd. On the 13th of February 2004 the company changed its name to Cellular Therapeutics Australia Limited. And on the 18th of August 2005, the company changed its name to SDP Technology Limited (SDP). In these early days, the company was based in Adelaide, South Australia and was focused on commercializing various technologies it had secured from medical research institutions in Adelaide.

In 2005, the company invested in LabTech Systems Ltd, a new company focused on commercializing MicroStreak®, an automated agar plate processing system to be used in diagnostic microbiology laboratories in clinical pathology, veterinary, food, water and environmental testing.  LabTech Systems Ltd is now listed on the ASX.

And in 2006, LabTech Systems Ltd spun out Oncaidia Ltd, a new company focused on commercializing APOMAB®, a new reliable and accurate means of detecting the presence of dying and dead cancer cells in vivo – that is, in the body. As a result of the spin out, SDP Technology Ltd holds an investment in Oncaidia Ltd.

In 2007, SDP established its registered office in Sydney and its principle place of business in Melbourne, where it commenced operations.
